I’m one of those people who used to decorate their monitor with physical yellow Post-it notes to remember tasks that needed to get done. I’ve been an Apple user for many, many years and one of the first apps I used religiously was Stickies. Sticky Notes is a promising app that needs some work to be functional. Even though the premise of this app is to have something simple and free of complicated settings/preferences, it would be nice if some sort of settings were available. So, as soon as that update is live, the reminder should appear at the time it is set for rather than 5 minutes before. Because of this review, the developer has pushed out an update to the App Store that removes this 5-minute limit. After re-testing for longer than 5 minutes, the banner did appear when it was supposed to.
So, in the case of our test that we mentioned, the timing was not set ahead far enough in the future for the notification to appear. Additionally, we found out from the developer that the reminder will popup 5 minutes before the time that it is set for. Otherwise, the notification banner will simply open in the Notification Center, but not slide across the screen.
